LAWS 740 - Voting Rights SeminarCredits: 2 A survey of the protections afforded the right to vote by the U.S. Constitution and the Voting Rights Act. The course includes examination of the major Supreme Court cases involving access to the ballot and malapportionment. Primary emphasis will be on racial discrimination in voting under the 14th and 15th Amendments and Sections 2 and 5 of the Voting Rights Act.
