LAWS 623 - Comparative Employment Discrimination SeminarCredits: 2/3 This course is a seminar focusing on a comparison of employment discrimination laws in the United States and abroad. Students examine timely issues under the American legal system and compare the American approach to these issues with that of foreign-based systems. Through this comparative approach, students will examine critically the American system of employment law primarily as it exists under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Prerequisites: None Note: This course satisfies the perspective course requirement. It satisfies the graduation writing requirement if taken for 3 hours.
