LAWS 828 - S.C. Administrative LawCredits: 2 This course provides an overview of practice and procedure before administrative agencies in South Carolina. It will introduce administrative law concepts such as notice and due process, rulemaking, the South Carolina Administrative Procedure Act, and associated case law, as well as provide a survey of state agencies, their jurisdiction, and specific agency statutes such as the Revenue Procedures Act. Practical information on practice and procedure before adjudicative administrative bodies such as the Administrative Law Court will be an integral part of the course. Prerequisites: None Note: Students may take both this course and Administrative Law. This course does not satisfy the Administrative Law requirement of Vermont Law School for students in the dual-degree program. Basis of Grade: Final examination Form of Grade: Letter Grade |
